I’ve been making videos for nearly 20 years. I pitch, I write, I shoot, I host, I edit, I get good results, and I have a nice time doing it.

I pitched this fun bit to Sony PR during the God of War 2018 press cycle. They were into it, but we had make the shoot happen in a 30 minute gap in their busy schedule.

We pulled it off, and it ended up being the most successful video on your YouTube page. Christopher Judge gave me a nice hug a the end.

Sponsored content is inherently tougher to make than the the non-sponsored kind— simply because it needs to appeal to more groups. It needs to satisfy a client with high standards and specific marketing goals. It has to feel true to the editorial voice of the people making it. And it needs to meet the expectations of an established audience.

I’ve learned how to thread that needle, and I’m proud of the branded content I’ve created.
